What do you get when you combine old world eastern instruments with new world cutting edge electronics? The Mantra Bros. Recorded around the world including Panama, India, New York, Los Angeles, Bhutan, and London. These albums combine the talents of 18 musicians, engineers and producers who speak 15 different languages, but all have one thing in common- they love music. They also believe in the power of the note, and the power of the internet!
Each track on the East of Eden, West of Trance Album as well as the Trance of The Cobra, Dance of The Tiger Album are 30 minutes long (there are 2 tracks on each album). "There was no way around it. For their magic to work, the buildup needed to be gradual and the expectations of the listener for "more" had to be paced." Good things come to those that wait, and the words "immediate gratification" are not in the Mantra Bros vocabulary. Their third album Trance Fusion, puts this theory to test with one track having a duration of almost "60 minutes."
According to the Mantra Bros "we wanted to get your attention, get you focused, and ultimately transition you into a meditative trance state. Music is a very powerful medium when use correctly, and the human ability to absorb, comprehend, appreciate, initiate, and achieve is absolutely amazing when left to the subconscious mind. "
These albums were mixed and mastered with headphones and/or earbuds in mind, so to get maximum affect (notice we used the word affect and not effect- it is not a typo). .
